Though tough, the Qularr never really stood a chance against Mr. Negative and El Conejo Grande and soon withered under powerful bolts of darkness and rabbit punches. After wading through the invading hordes, our heroes found themselves confronted by Dr. Silverback, who appeared in a holographic transmission from his location on Monster Island. He had worked out a strategy to defeat the alien invaders by using the giant cannon located just outside the Champions headquarters to strike directly at the Qularr mothership.
But first, the cannon had to be activated. To do this, Mr. Negative and El Conejo Grande met the Champions leader, Defender, inside the Champions headquarters. The whole facility was overrun by Qularr, some more powerful than any they encountered so far. With Defender's help, they were able to clear the facility out and activate Dr. Silverback's cannon and send the Qularr packing.
After rescuing the city, our terrific twosome were finally able to reclaim their long unused traveling powers and latent abilities. For Mr. Negative that meant finally being able to teleport his way past trouble, whether that takes the form of a ruthless group of super-powered villains or merely the coverage-hungry marketing manager of an independent video game developer from Eastern Europe. Many people have wondered about the particulars of teleportation. In Mr. Negative's case, it's like a very fast version of invisible flight. As soon as the teleportation is activated, Mr. Negative becomes a sort of ball of energy, invisible to friend and foe alike, and can travel at super speed in any direction he chooses, even straight up in the air. The teleportation ends fairly quickly, so there's little time for sightseeing along the way. Of course, he can always immediately teleport again if he hasn't reached his destination, but too many teleportations in a row (or too much getting punched in the face) will require a bit of a recharge period for the power.
