ARGO Online Combat is something that sticks out for the game

There are a host of features that the game brings to the table that you don't often if ever see in other mmos. One of these features is an in game calendar; I found this to be a pretty cool feature. Yes, it is a calendar, not the next wheel, but this is very nice to have for those of you who plan out things in guild or with friends. You can mark specific days and leave notes for yourself on what to do on said day. From there, there is also a daily record you can keep which is publicly viewable. The daily record is a mix of entries you can submit and ones that can be auto filled with screenshots. The auto ones are usually open to be submitted when you complete a quest, level up, or even find a new area. Once you do one of those things the game will auto take a screenshot and ask if you want to add it to your record. Beyond being publically viewable people can comment on those records and offers a neat way to share experiences in the game with your friends. There are some other features the game adds but not all of them are in use yet. One of which is the in game music player, which with an obvious guess should allow you to play your own music through the game without having to use winamp, foobar, itunes, or whatever you preference for a music player may be.

Combat is something that sticks out for the game, but maybe not in the way you initially think. The game is still pretty much a point and click mmo, but they did mix things up a bit. Instead of having classes stuck with a certain weapon, they have a tri-weapon type system in place. For instance, I played the game as a Warrior class. The initial weapon for this class is a spear, but beyond that I have slots and skills for a sword and rifle. This actually makes my class more versatile and makes combat a bit more interesting. In the skill tree, ARGO Gold most of my skills do focus on the spear, but there are a few skills reserved for my sword and rifle. In combat you can actually use all of the skills in sync and your character will switch between weapons depending on the skill you choose. I love how they executed this and this adds new playing styles to classes which rarely get this type of versatility.

The games combat system does have another system that compliments it, which is the core system. The addition and execution of this is actually fairly neat. In combat you can use a backpack which can increase your attack, defense, and even movement speed, at the cost of core energy. You can use one, two, or even all three of the bonuses if you wish. The bonuses from this can be turned on and off, and seem to use points at a reasonable rate. It is also used to power the mounts you can receive in game, which can be used both for riding and in combat. Overall the bonuses are nice to have, and do so at a cost, it did help me a lot while having to solo in the game as it made surviving some situations possible when without it I would be toast. The actual items you need to convert to core, which you will use to refine is called Earthdium. The item itself is fairly common but the production costs can be a bit much at lower levels. But if you stick with just using the backpack bonuses you won't burn through core that fast.
