Cryptic Studios has announced that later this month they will be launching Revelation, the first major expansion for Champions Online. This expansion will be free and features:

+ Two New Zones
+ Over 16 Hours of Gameplay
+ Six New Powers
+ Five New Critter Groups
+ An Epic Lair
+ Five New Signature Villains
The launch of Revelation also comes with a surprise special discounted subscription rate.
For a limited time, you can elect to subscribe to a three-month recurring subscription to Champions Online Gold for just $29.99 USD. Which will save you over $15!
They are also offering sneak peak at some of the new items being placed into the game for this expansion:
Unobtainum Chestpiece. A protective chest plate, lined with unobtanium.
Tenebrous Weave. Deep shadows woven into a fabric. Sinister and very, very fashionable. (Costume piece.)
Wings of the Nephilim. Therakiel's essence can grant you the same power he gave to his servants. (Costume unlock.)
Voodoo Amplifier. Increases Voodoo juju. The dial is stuck at 11. (Costume unlock.)
Spark of Immortality. It's not clear whether this is enough to grant true immortality, but it does cure the common cold. (Costume unlock.)
