Dofus' 8th Language Version Annouced at TGS09

Dofus annouced its plan to Japan at TGS. Will this game make a success in Japan where most players choose video game instead of MMORPGs.

Dofus Japan TGS2009

Dofus is a Flash based on-line game developed and published by Ankama Games, a renowned French computer game manufacturer. The style of in-game screen, which has been confirmed by its official, would remind gamers of the Japanese Cartoon. And three characters were designed to meet players' satisfaction, which include warrior, enchanter and assassinator.

Since its official release in September 2004, DOFUS has experienced exponential growth. Now available in 7 languages including French, English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Italian, and the Japanese version is scheduled for release in 2010. The DOFUS 2.0, which was develo ped for Japanese customers, is a completely revamped version of dofus kamas, featuring more detailed graphics, new animations, improved performance and gameplay so as to give players a renewed experience of their favorite game.

Treading a lush path between video game and animated cartoon, DOFUS brings a whole new dimension to online Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games. With its manga-inspired graphics, gripping tactical game play and wild humor, DOFUS not only has created a unique style of its own for other MMORPGs to follow and currently boasts 23 million players worldwide but also has led to the marketing of spin-off products, such as books, art and comics.
