Anarchy Online official site announced that the 16.1 upgrade should be released to the test servers very soon for open testing. 16.1 will not be a major content patch and will focus on some fixes and further improvements to the the games engine. Preliminary patch notes should be available on Monday so keep your eyes peeled!Meanwhile at IGN comes an interview with Morten Byom. Below is a snip:
Jonric: To introduce yourself, what is your role on Anarchy Online, and how long you have been working on it?
Morten Byom: My name is Morten Byom and I am the Game Director for the game Anarchy Online. A Game Director has the responsibility for the direction and design decisions for everything that is being developed for the game.
I have been involved with Anarchy Online since I started working for Funcom back in 2000 as world designer. I have, over the years, been given greater responsibilities and challenges within Funcom until last year, when I was offered the job as Game Director after Marius Enge.
Jonric: In overview, what kind of online world is it, and what separates it from the others that are available in the market?
Morten Byom: Anarchy Online is a science fiction world set 30,000 years into the future, where we follow the development of the human race as its members have spread across galaxies seeking the ultimate power and knowledge. This journey has led them to the small planet Rubi-Ka where all life once originated. By the way,anarchy online credits is important for you to play the game well.
On this planet, the humans have discovered how to harness the energy of life. This has allowed them to enhance their existing technology and to bring themselves to new heights by the extensive use of nano-technology fueled by the very essence of life that was discovered on this desert planet.
